CALENDAR

In Reims campus life is great, in addition to have many different associations in which you can take part there will always be an event coming up to keep you excited! Here is a small list of the different major events proposed on campus:

August-September:

  • Integration week

    • The first major event every student will participate in is the first-year student integration week. It is generally composed of different types of events that aim at letting new students to get to know each other better and to learn more about their new campus and the student community. Several bar nights, brunches, a colour-run and other activities are organised in the span of one week.

    • The integration week is also a preparatory week introducing new students to the Sciences Po method to give presentations and writing essays. Students are divided in different groups, and put in practice what they have been taught on the first day by giving presentations on the required summer books.

  • Rentrée Solenelle

    • This is a tradition at Sciences Po. At the end of the first week on classes, students dress up, meet the director of Sciences Po, Frederic Mion, and celebrate the beginning of the year with our favourite Reims tradition: Champagne!

  • Cathedral Light Show

    • A must-see in Reims! Until the end of August, the city of Reims organizes a light show on the Reims cathedral (yes, literally ON the cathedral), which is a wonderful opportunity to admire the beautiful building and enjoy the last summer nights left. For mote info click here

  • Integration weekend

    • For the integration weekend everyone goes camping! 2As give 1As their proper welcome, we have fun, and we party!

  • Parrainage

    • In September, 1As can randomly choose a 2A "buddy" that will help them with their new life in Reims

  • Spirit assemblies

    • Spirit assemblies are spread out over the year, and usually take place before Sports weekend with another Sciences Po campus. We sing, we cheer, and show our spirit!

  • Fall break

    • Usually after midterm exams, we have a week-long vacation. The BDE usually organizes a trip during the break.

November:

  • Fall Gala - The BDE organizes a gala around this time. This is a chance to listen to the on-campus music groups (Vibes, Chill Beenz, Elefunk), drink some champagne, and dance to some great music with your new rémois friends. Last year's theme was a James Bond-inspired "Sky Ball"

February:

  • RIMUN conference - Our Model United Nation team organises a two-day conference simulations. Students from all over the world come to discuss on current relevant international issues. A ball is also organized by RIMUN

Winter Break:

  • The Sports Association usually organises a ski trip!

March-April

  • Festival des Arts

    • Every year, Bureau des Arts is organising an artistic festival called “Festival Des Arts”. If you are part of a student association doing dance, singing or involved in another artistic scheme, you will have a chance to perform on the big stage and show off your talents in front of your fellow students

  • Bureau elections

    • Elections for the four main bureaus/associations on campus are held around April. The different lists organize debates, picnics, and other events on and off campus to convince you to vote for them.

May:

  • Desingration

    • It's time to say bye to 2As, and this is the perfect opportunity to get some revenge from the integration weekend.

  • Minicrit

    • The Minicrit is one of the main events at Sciences Po. At the end of the year, after exams, all Sciences Po campuses meet and compete in art, dance, cheerleading, music, and sports!

  • Gala Sciences Po

    • Sciences Po likes classy, so what better way to end the year than a Gala?

These are only the main events on campus! The different associations hold different events every week that reach out to people with very different interests, so you will always be able to attend an event that you are interested in! Some examples of themed weeks include: Gender and Sexuality week (spring), Overseas week, Refugee week, etc.
