Frequently Asked Questions

How can I enter the Facebook group ?

Simple! Just join this group and wait for one of our members to accept the request.

Where to look for private housing?

You have a couple of options here:

  • You can look at real state agencies in Reims online or visit them in person. Reims is a city with A LOT of these agencies, so it won't be a problem finding one, but as always feel free to contact the CYOC members for recommendations. (Keep in mind that in order to rent an apartment in Reims, most agencies will ask for a french "guarantor", and in some cases will accept a guarantor in the EEC). Real estate agencies are not free though, so you will have to pay a fee in case you do rent an apartment through them.

  • Leboncoin is also another way to find private housing, though less strongly recommended as it is less official and can sometimes be more of a hustle.

  • As many of you incoming students will be interested in sharing apartments, you can post a message on our facebook group to look for a flatmate. There are also flatmate agencies that will let you rent a room with them (ex: Colocatere)

Where should I live in Reims?

It all depends on your preferences. There are plenty of apartments close to Sciences Po if you prefer not walking a lot, as well as apartments in the city centre, which is a 15-20 min walk from campus. Nevertheless, Reims is a safe city, so you should not worry about that aspect.

What is online registration? How is it done ?

What about public transport in Reims?

Reims has a bus and a tram. Sciences Po students usually use the bus system which runs basically through all of Reims, whereas the trams are less used because of their limited range. For more info, you can look up the CITURA website
